Orchestra’s Instruments Dumped into Stockholm Harbor
…but they were already getting soggy. The actual working cellos, harp and flute had been carved from ice for the Ice Art show.

Stockholm's Ice Art show, which ran until June 15, was a collaboration with the original Ice Hotel in Jukkasjaervi. Around 120 tons of clear river ice were transported from that area, in Sweden's far north. Some of the world's best ice-artisans then carved it into replicas of Stockholm's City Hall and Royal Opera -- and a small orchestra of musical instruments, among other things.

The show took place under a tent atop barge on Stockholm’s Nacka Strand waterfront. The exhibition was kept at a chilly 23 degrees Fahrenheit, but visitors were provided warm parkas and shoes, as well as the opportunity to get some vodka from the Ice Bar.
