Norwegian Wood… and Wind and Waves For people who really want to strum in the sun: Acoustic Guitar magazine has announced an Inaugural "Acoustic Guitar Cruise," to take place in the Western Caribbean from Nov. 1 - 8, 2003. That same week, the Eastern Caribbean will be swaying with a Jazz Cruise. Acoustic Guitar magazine is enticing guitar lovers to join them for a vacation on Norwegian Cruise Line's "Norwegian Wind. Guests will be able to take guitar clinics and group lessons with acoustic guitar masters, while they're cruising between such stops as Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. Meanwhile, sailing throughout the Eastern Caribbean (Nassau, Tortola and Antigua) will be the Holland America line’s Zaandam, heavily loaded with jazz players and fans. The entire ship will be dedicated to jazz, boasting over 200 hours of great jazz shows and 70 performers. At peak times there will be six jazz venues going simultaneously. ("On days at sea, the music starts at 11:00am and goes to 1:00am the next morning, and that does not include those late night/early morning jam sessions, which have been known to go until 5:00 am."
